New York Bridal Fashion Week

As I sit on a plane on my way back from New York Bridal Fashion Week, I could not be more excited about the new collections coming to both Wayzata and Nashville!  As most of our clients know, I am a particular buyer.  My expectations are high.  Quality is extremely important to me as is consistency.  I don’t need name brands.  I want and look for exquisite fabrics, impeccable craftsmanship and down-to-earth designers who truly have the passion I have.

With that said, Amanda and I spent days hopping from one Uber to another to travel from midtown to the garment district to find the best gowns and the best designers for Posh. We kicked off the weekend with the Rivini {and Alyne} Runway show and let me tell you, we were not disappointed.  Rita sure knows how to WOW!  I’ve attached the finale from the show so you could see the incredible designs – sheer bodices, gorgeous lace and silk crepe for miles!  Amanda & I were in heaven!  My favorite dress – xoxo – of course!  You can be sure I purchased for both stores!

Our next stop was Anne Barge – Blue Willow Bride and Anne Barge Couture.  Her designs were the timeless, effortless look that she does so well.  Both collections featured illusion necklines, low backs, gorgeous lace and incredible trains.  The fabrics were soft to touch and lightweight.  They will be appreciated by all brides.

Our next stop was  Matthew Christopher – The Matty Collection and the Couture Collection.  From the exclusive lace that he introduced this season to the classic, killer fit that Matthew is known for.  It doesn’t matter how many times I see that fit, it makes my jaw drop every time.   He had it all….an easy sheath, sexy fit & flare, and classic beaded ballgown!

Our last stop at New York Bridal Fashion Show was at Caroline Castigliano…a new designer that we have been interested in.  She didn’t disappoint.  It’s hard to find simple, gorgeous gowns that still have the quality of couture.  Simple is hard as she explained.  You can’t hide anything when you are doing beautiful silk fabrics in simple designs.  Her dresses are everything that Posh stands for….timeless, classic and not something you will see on every bride, in every magazine.  Amanda and I sat with Caroline and her team to go through every dress and accessory to determine the best curation for Posh.  I am thrilled and honored to carry her line.  She is the real deal and we are excited to introduce her to our Posh Brides!

When I go to Bridal Market, I always come back excited but this market was different.   I haven’t been this passionate about my collection since I opened.  I know it’s an honor to service our Posh Brides and I want to offer them the best designers in the wedding industry.
